6 weeks old and a Vet Check

today was a big day for the puppies.......vet time!
How do you travel with 10 6 week old pups in a car? You find the biggest plastic tub there is! It was a noisy ride to the vet. Oh, did I mention it started to rain? ha!
They did Fabulous at the vet! Each one is perfectly healthy. They received their first shot and worming by the vet. None of them made a peep either...or should I say yelp?
We have the best vet! Dr. Greggory delivered Lola's puppies and he loves on them like they were his own pets.

Hard to believe the "Fabulous 10" are leaving us soon. They have brought so much joy to our family.

"Fabulous 10" at dinner time!

In the mornings.....

we pile them all in one box to go outside to eat and a potty break. Lately it has been comical watching these guys get excited to go! They scramble around barking at each other as if to say "We're going outside"

A lap full of puppies.....

is always fun! Hard to believe these guys are almost 5 weeks.
They are so playful now. We love watching them wrestle with one another. They are almost fully weaned now.
They prefer their puppy food instead of Lola.

Watching them eat is almost comical.
They go from one plate to the next.
We are really going to miss the "Fabulous 10" soon!

Lola and her crew

Everything is going pretty smooth at our house now. It helps to have them on a schedule. 3,6,9,12.....it is just like having a new baby in the house. All of the pups are nursing well. Their little bellies are growing. You can tell when they get full because they can barely crawl. Too cute.

Eat, sleep, squeak, and poop.
They are a lot of fun!

Snug as a bug....

We survived our first night with the 10 puppies. They ate every 2-3 hours and then we had to supplement them a little until Lola's milk came in. Casey and I crack up at the squeals and little noises they all make when it is time to eat. Even Lola looks at them like "what am I supposed to do with all of them?" Each one is so different and has such beautiful markings. One of the white ones has a perfect heart on the back! Today we have just really enjoyed looking them over and helping Lola out.
Last time we had puppies we came up with the name Charlie Brown gang. We named the puppies after a character. This also helped us remember who had been fed already. Now we were thinking Sesame Street Characters
or Pixar Car characters. Not sure?? We need something that has 5 girl and 5 boy names we could use.
All are healthy and doing great!
